The main textbooks are Landau and Lifshitz, The Classical Theory of Fields, 4th Revised English Edition (LL hereafter),  Landau, Lifshitz, and Pitaevsky, Electrodynamics of Continuous Media, Second Revised English Edition (LLP hereafter), and  J.   • JDJ problems: 14.5 and 1.1
  • Draw polar plots for the power radiated per unit solid angle for an accelerated particle    1) in the non-relativistic case, 2) in the linear relativistic case and 3) the circular      relativistic case. Use numerical values of your choice for the acceleration and velocity.
  • Calculate the energy radiated per turn for electrons of 100 GeV moving in a circular orbit of 26 km of circumference (LEP).
