Optional Readings: ZO: chapters 1 and 5 (it is recommended to use the source file at the same time)


Problem set: ZO Chapter 1,  Problems 1, 3, 4,  6 and 8 (mostly an exercise to find the difference between versions 5 and 7).  Find the level curves of the real and imaginary parts of f[x_] := beta*x + (1/2)*(Log[x] + Log[2 - x]) for 2 complex values of beta of your choice.
